THE SHIPWRECK DAY TOUR

Venture even further off the beaten track into the Concession area of the Namib Naukluft Park on our desolate coastline where rough seas, roaring winds, and strong ocean currents take responsibility for multiple shipwrecks. One of these is the shipwreck of the Shawnee, a transport tug that ran aground under mysterious circumstances on the 6th of February 1976. Now wedged on a narrow stretch between surf and sand, it is home to jackals and a variety of seabirds.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to this wonderful location.
